Request for Study of a Suspected or Proven Burial Site

The Georgia Council on American Indian Concerns investigates instances where Indian burials have been or are believed to have been disturbed.

If you believe Indian burials have been disturbed in violation of the law, please complete and submit the following form. You can download a copy by right-clicking on the form of your choice and selecting "Save As ..." to save a copy to your computer.

Note: You can request a hard copy of the form by writing to the Indian Council at the address at the bottom of this page.

Use this form to notify the Georgia Council on American Indian Concerns of an area where you suspect Native American burial sites to be located and is threatened by development, pot hunting, grave robbing, natural erosion or construction of roads, pipelines or by timbering operations that use heavy equipment. Normal farming practices are exempted from the laws.
